Be Stylishly Dressed this Fall
Layering is key as fall temperatures set in. From chilly mornings as you head out for the day to brisk evenings when the sun sets, owning the right pieces or styles to layer with is essential. From blazers to shackets, trench coats and leather jackets...here is what you should be wearing this fall season to be layered and look smart.
Blazer
While most men have this in their closet (and a lot of ladies too), a classic blazer that you can layer over shirts, tops, dresses and more gives you that elevated look to be worn in so many ways. From suede to leather to twill or tweed, find a fabric that's versatile to easily layer. Choose a blazer with unique details (ornate buttons), collar, or fabric so that it is an "intentional" part of your outfit.
Trench Coat
We love a bold trench coat color for a classic fall look. In rich shades of olive, green, blues and navy to fun prints of houndtooth, check and more a trench coat cinches your style and accents your waist with a waist tie belt. Hip-length is ideal for all heights and appears more casual for daytime then a medium length (think upper calves) which is great for day to night.
Shacket
Shacket, a combination between a shirt and a jacket, this layering piece is great for casual fall days to layer in the mornings to chilly evenings. Generally shackets are more casual style layering items often seen in plaid for men along with neutral solid colors or prints for women. Pair with jeans or 5 pocket pants or joggers for guys. Leather leggings, coated denim or blue jeans look great for ladies. Dress this up with block high heels or ankle booties.
Light Leather Jacket
From rich chocolate brown to deep cocoa, caramel to deep greens and rich navy, a leather jacket is the quintessential layering piece for the fall season. Wear it over a suit for a modern look guys. Or over a cocktail dress with heels to a party. A leather jacket does not "just" go with jeans and a tee or sweater, but so many more ways to think outside the box and style it....starting with color. Go beyond black this fall or try a different style than one you always wear (moto jackets have been popular for awhile so instead try a leather blazer).
